Manual Collage
This is the first project for the semester. The brief is to create a collage that shows week one back at uni. My week consisted of sending many emails sorting out time table clashes while also trying to move house. it was an extremely hectic week leaving me exhausted. To convey this in my collage I decided to make my self very small compared to my diary and time table to suggest that these elements were controlling me. I am laying down, in the image, to show the total exhaustion that i was feeling. I think the image is rather self explanitory, it is obvious that it is about organisation.

Digital Collage
For this project the idea was to transfer the narrative from the manual collage into a digital image. I chose to keep most of the same images although changed the layout. I liked the quirkiness of the flying emails and wanted to enhance that across the whole image by creating a cartoon like scene. I played around with filters and warped different images when I finally realised that the keyboard kind of resenbled water. From there i changed the colour to blue, added some ripples and ended up with the keyboard sea. I like that haviing things floating all over the place also adds to the craziness of the narrative.
